An intensive Irish language course will be held in the Morgan Athletic Grounds on Saturday 8 October between 11am and 4pm. There will be classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced and the cost of £10 includes lunch. The courses will be held monthly on the second Saturday of each month, but you should book a place by emailing email@example.com or by ringing Seán on 028 3751 5229.
Evening classes will also be commencing in St Catherine’s College, Armagh on Wednesday 19 October and finishing on Wednesday 14 December. The classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced will start at 7pm and finish at 9pm and there will be 8 classes in the term with a break for mid-term on Wednesday 2 November. A new scheme called Is leor beirt will start this Saturday, 1 October to give Irish speakers an opportunity to use their oral Irish skills in a relaxed social environment. Fluent speakers will be meeting up at 11am in Embers café on Market Street opposite the library and learners and improvers will be meeting up at 12noon to practice their spoken Irish. Each session will last an hour and they will take place on the first and third Saturday of each month. This scheme is another opportunity to practice your Irish and is in addition to the Conversation group An Ciorcal Comhrá who continue to meet every Tuesday at 9.30pm in the Station Bar.
