Ar mhaith leat go mbeadh Gaeilge líofa ar do thoil agat? Tá CAIRDE Teo, eagraíocht Ghaeilge in Ard Mhacha, ag tabhairt faoi thionscadal nua le Gaeilge labhartha a threisiú ar an bhaile agus le freastal ar riachtanais phobal na Gaeilge in Ard Mhacha, pobal atá ag fás leis i gcónaí.

Le hionad cultúir i lár na cathrach ar na bacáin, tá CAIRDE Teo ag iarraidh daoine a spreagadh le síniú le feachtas an Aire Carál Ní Chuilín Líofa 2015. Beidh CAIRDE Teo ag tacú leis an fheachtas Líofa trí dhíriú ar roinnt foghlaimeoirí ardchaighdeáin atá ag iarraidh ardlíofacht a bhaint amach. Thiocfadh dó go mbeidh deis ag daltaí an tionscadail obair a fháil in Aonach Mhacha, ionad nua cultúir atá beartaithe in Ard Mhacha.

Beidh líon beag daltaí a bhfuil Gaeilge mhaith acu cheana féin ag freastal ar roinnt cúrsaí cónaithe sa Ghaeltacht, áit a mbeidh siad á dtumadh sa teanga le líofacht a fhorbairt agus lena muinín a chothú. Déanfaidh na daltaí roinnt tascanna a dhíríonn ar an Ghaeilge labhartha le linn ceithre dheireadh seachtaine i rith na bliana, agus beidh an chéad cúrsa deireadh seachtaine ar siúl ar an Satharn agus an Domhnach, an 21 agus 22 Aibreán.

Tá an cúrsa seo dírithe ar fhoghlaimeoirí ardranga ó cheantar Ard Mhacha nó orthu siúd atá ag iarraidh bheith ag obair in earnáil na Gaeilge in Ard Mhacha. Beidh an cúrsa á mhaoiniú ag CAIRDE Teo. Tá líon teoranta áiteanna ar fáil ar an chúrsa speisialta seo agus is féidir tuilleadh eolais a fháil trí theagmháil a dhéanamh le Seán ar 028 3751 5229 nó sean@cairdeteo.com.

Have you ever wished that you could speak Irish like it was your first language?  CAIRDE Teo, the Irish language development organisation based in Armagh City, is embarking on a new project to strengthen spoken Irish and to facilitate the needs of the burgeoning Irish language sector in the city.

With plans afoot to build a new cultural centre in the heart of the city, CAIRDE Teo are encouraging people to sign up to Minister Carál Ní Chuilín’s Líofa 2015 campaign. CAIRDE Teo will be lending their support to the Líofa campaign by identifying a number of proficient Irish learners who are keen to improve their spoken fluency. Those participating in the project may be able to help out or indeed work in the proposed new cultural centre which will be known as Aonach Mhacha.

A select number of students with a good existing level of spoken Irish will attend a number of Gaeltacht residentials where they will be immersed in the Irish language to develop their fluency and confidence in using the language. The students will undertake practical tasks focusing on spoken Irish over four weekends throughout the year, with the first weekend being organised for Saturday and Sunday 21 and 22 April.

This course is aimed at advanced learners from the Armagh area or those who intend to work in the Irish language sector in Armagh and will be funded by CAIRDE Teo. There are a limited number of places available on this unique course and you can obtain more information by contacting Seán on 028 3751 5229 or sean@cairdeteo.com.
