Ba mhaith le CAIRDE Teo buíochas a ghabháil le gach duine a ghlac páirt sa tsiúlóid Ghaeilge thart ar Ard Mhacha mar chuid den Oíche Chultúir in Ard Mhacha. Thug an tsiúlóid idirghníomhach deis do siúlóirí a gcuid eolais ar chúlra stairiúil agus cultúrtha na cathrach a roinnt le daoine eile.

D’éirigh chomh maith sin leis an tsiúlóid go bhfuil CAIRDE anois tiomanta imeachtaí eile mar seo a eagrú do Ghaeilgeoirí agus d’fhoghlaimeoirí as seo amach.

Níos moille an tráthnóna sin, shocraigh CAIRDE i gcomhar le Gael Linn ceolchoirm saor in aisce le suipéar in Amharclann Phlás an Mhargaidh a bhí mar phríomhionad ceiliúrtha ar an chéad Oíche Chultúir a bhí in Ard Mhacha riamh. Bhí an lucht freastail faoi gheasa ag an amhránaí ard-éileamh as Tír Eoghain, Bernadette Morris, agus a cuid cairde ceolmhara.

Ba mhaith le CAIRDE buíochas a ghabháil le Gael Linn agus le Comhairle Chathair agus Cheantar Ard Mhacha as an chuidiú agus tacaíocht a thug siad leis an cheolchoirm agus suipéar a eagrú san Amharclann.

Irish language cooperative, CAIRDE Teo, would sincerely like to thank everyone who took part in the Irish language tour through Armagh City as part of the highly successful ‘Culture Night’ coordinated by Armagh City and District Council. The interactive tour provided an opportunity for all walkers involved to share their knowledge of the historical and cultural background of the primatial city with each other.

So popular was the walking tour that CAIRDE are committed to organising similar events for Irish speakers and learners in the near future.

Later in the evening, CAIRDE teamed up with Gael Linn to offer a free concert with buffet supper in the Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre for Irish language enthusiasts who were keen to round off Armagh City’s first ever ‘Culture Night’ in style.

Tír Eoghain’s latest up and coming Irish language singing sensation, Bernadette Morris, and her musical friends certainly did not disappoint.

CAIRDE would like to thank Gael Linn and Armagh City and District Council for their help and support in organising the concert and supper in the Theatre.
