IMG_0895Beidh Craobh Uladh dn Fhéile Scoildrámaíochta ar siúl in Armharclann Ard Mhacha ar an 19 agus an 20 Márta 2015. Meallfaidh an fhéile drámaíochta Gaeilge suas le 1000 cuairteoir chuig Ard Mhacha thar dhá lá. Bainfidh an lucht féachana sult as drama is fiche agus is é an t-aisteoir iomráiteach Padraig Mac an Tuile a bheas mar mholtóir. Tá neart grúpaí áitiúla in Ard Mhacha ag cuidiú leis an fhéile a eagrú le grúpaí áitiúla ceoil agus rince, scoileanna an cheantair, CAIRDE Teo agus Gael Linn ag cuidiú.

Tá an Fhéile Scoildrámaíochta ag ceiliúradh 80 bliain den drámaíocht Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn sna scoileanna agus onóir atá ann do chathair Ard Mhacha craobh na bliana a óstáil. Seolfar craobh Uladh in Amharclann Ard Mhacha ar 10.00am Déardaoin 19 Márta. Beidh na drámaí buachacha ann ó chúig réamhbhabhta Uladh i nDún na nGall, i Muineachán, i mBéal Feirste, san Iúr agus i nDoire. Beidh trí sheisiún ann ag Féile Uladh ar 10r.n., ar 1.30i.n. agus ag 6.30i.n. Déardaoin 19 agus dhá sheisiún ar 10r.n. agus 1.30i.n. Dé hAoine 20 Márta agus beidh an mholtóireacht dheireanach ann ag 5i.n. Dé hAoine. Beidh costas £5 an tseisiúin ar na ticéid agus ráta speisialta de £2 ann.

Eagraítear an Fhéile Scoildrámaíochta faoi chúram an Aire Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta agus cuireann sí  an drámaíocht Ghaeilge chun cinn ar fud na hÉireann, ó Thuaidh, ó Deas, Thoir agus Thiar. Bíonn idir mheánscoileanna agus bhunscoileanna páirteach ann. Bíonn breis agus 10,000 páistí páirteach i bhFéiltí an Chumainn Scoildrámaíochta achan bhliain agus beidh deis ag pobal na Gaeilge in Ard Mhacha amharc ar chuid de na h-aisteoirí óga agus de na banaisteoirí óga is fearr sa Chúige agus ardleibhéal Gaeilge a chluinstin.

IMG_0917The Ulster final of Féile Scoildrámaíochta takes place in The Market Place Armagh on the the 19th and 20th of March 2015. This festival of Irish language youth drama will attract in the region of 1000 visitors to Armagh city over the two day period. Audiences will be treated to twenty one short plays and renowned performer Paddy Flood will adjudicate. Many local Armagh groups have agreed to help out in organising this prestigious event including local music and dance groups, local schools, CAIRDE Teo and also Gael Linn.

The Féile Scoildrámaíochta is celebrating 80 years of promoting Irish language drama in schools and Armagh is honoured to host this year’s event. The Ulster final will be launched at the Marketplace Theatre at 10.00 a.m. on Thursday 19th of March. It will feature the winning dramas from five Ulster heats, including Donegal, Monaghan, Newry and Derry. There will be three sessions of Féile Uladh at 10am, 1.30pm and 6.30pm on Thursday 19th and at 10am and 1.30pm on Friday 20th March, with the adjudication by Paddy Flood at 5pm on Friday. Tickets will cost £4 per session, with a concession rate of £2 and special rates for groups and schools.

The Féile Scoldrámaíochta is organised under the patronage of the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht and promotes Irish language drama throughout Ireland, North, South, East and West. Both secondary and primary schools are encouraged to get involved. An Cumann Scoildrámaíochta, which involves 10,000 children in Irish-Language drama each year, will provide drama enthusiasts and Irish speakers from Armagh and surrounding areas with the opportunity to see some of the finest young actors and actresses perform in prize-winning productions, as well as hearing a very high level of spoken Irish.
