The annual Séamus Mór Mac Murchaidh day of commemoration will take place this Sunday 19th March 2017 starting at 12 noon with a session of music and song in the “Hole in the Wall” bar in Market Street, Armagh. Monsignor Raymond Murray will give a talk at the commemoration stone at Gallows Hill, Lower Irish Street at 2.30pm. After that, there will be an historical tour to Mac Murchaidh’s grave in Creggan and to the barn at Carnally where his body was waked. The day will finish up in the Tí Chulainn Centre in Mullaghbane for refreshments and a big session! The day is organised by Armagh’s Irish language conversation group, Ciorcal Comhrá Ard Mhacha, extend a hearty welcome to everyone!
