With the new term of Irish classes underway, Cairde Teo are offering ten learners an opportunity to take part in a special excursion to experience the beauty of the northwest Donegal Gaeltacht.
The trip includes a visit to the Gaeltacht region, where the Irish language and culture is vibrant and thriving. Starting at Glenveagh National Park, visitors will enjoy a walk in the gardens and a tour of the castle before lunch in the tearooms at Gleann Bheatha with views of the Derryveagh Mountains.
For those who want to get active, bike hire is available at Gleann Bheatha and visitors may enjoy a cycle around the beautiful grounds. Next the journey takes visitors into the heart of the Gaeltacht via Errigal Mountain, Donegal’s iconic highest peak. Stop off at the viewing point overlooking Dún Lúiche and the Poisoned Glen for a photo opportunity.
The cost of the day trip is £15 and the bus will leave Armagh City Hotel at 8.00am sharp. We expect to be back in Armagh at 7pm.
